A cool sock for summer that you can wear all year round. A sock made to measure, in which each size is perfectly studied to fit your feet like a glove.

Keep reading and we will explain the reason for each of the choices we made to get to this point.

EGYPTIAN JUMEL KARNAK COTTON

Karnak, land of Pharaohs on the banks of the river Nile, is located in a very fertile plain.

Since ancient times, the avenues of the river have contributed a lot of nutrients and sediment to this strip of land between the river and the desert.

The climate, warm, it is an element of utmost importance in the quality of the cotton plants that grow there.

This has led to the cultivation of cotton with long fibers, straight and high quality.

These fibers are much softer, resistant and very absorbent.

These characteristics mean that the garments made with this type of cotton offer us more solid colors, more durable and not fluff.

MERCERIZATION PROCESS

When the precious fibers of JUMEL KARNAK were obtained, the next process is spinning.

Combing selects the longest fibers and rejects those that are shorter for lesser thread qualities.

With these fibers the spinning process begins which will give us a shiny, resistant and very soft thread.

When the JUMEL KARNAK cotton thread has been spun, a second process begins: MERCERIZING. This is the process that turns the cotton into FIL D'ÉCOSSE and increases its tenacity.

At Punto Blanco we have our own formula to achieve the maximum quality in this process. This formula has been transferred from generation to generation of qualified technicians in order to guarantee continuity of quality since 1948.

KEEPING THE YARN IN GOOD CONDITIONS

Good wine is preserved in the cave.... the FIL D'ÉCOSSE, too.

Since we are talking about a natural and living product, the conditions of conservation are essential to preserve all the qualities of FIL D'ÉCOSSE while waiting to become your sock.

A dark cave with temperature and constant moisture, will be its home while waiting for the moment to come to life as a quality sock.

KNITTING AND DYEING THE SOCKS

The final process has arrived!!!!

With latest generation machinery we knit the socks with raw thread, without dyeing.

Each pass and each needle must be perfect, down to the stitching of the toe which is done with the most advanced system and is finished with a seam imperceptible.

Next, it will only be necessary to dye them in the most elegant and most fashionable colors with products that, in addition to color, add softness and texture to this unique article.
