Cashmere wool is a fiber obtained from the Cashmere goat. It is one of the highest quality wools, it has a fine and strong texture, light and soft and very insulating thermally.

The fibers of the inner layer, which are fine, are the ones used to make the Punto Blanco socks. These fibers are hidden in the layer next to the skin and are lighter in color.

Cashmere wool is obtained from cashmere goats in the spring, by a process of combed, unlike the wool of other animals which is obtained by a shearing process.

Each goat produces only about 150 grams of wool per year on average, which is why this wool is highly appreciated.

This goat is originally from the Tibetan region of Kashmir in northern India and bordering China and Pakistan.

The exploitation of this type of goat, however, spread through China, which is the world's main producer. It arrived in Europe in the 14th century and currently this animal species is acclimatized in several regions of Scotland.

The cashmere - wool socks from Punto Blanco ensure great durability and comfort thanks to the exclusive blend with other wools. You will recognize them thanks to their exclusive black label.

Within our collection of cashmere socks we can find from the classic diamonds, thousand stripes or plain ones. But the most daring will be able to find socks with geometric shapes, snowflakes, Nordic borders and even cashmere socks with lurex for the most sophisticated looks.
